This is a 1-hour experiential webinar on Seated Therapeutic Yoga. This free service is provided by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) as supported by ACL. Everyone who attends can also receive a free seated yoga DVD so they can continue the practices.
· Seated therapeutic yoga can fortify our resilience (physical, emotional, epigenetic and cognitive) and enhance our experience of almost any roles we fill or daily activities/routines that we engage in. The protocols we use are evidence-based for reduction of anxiety, depression, insomnia and PTSD symptoms, as well as numerous additional researched benefits. They have also been successfully documented to reduce problematic polypharmacy by eliminating or reducing the need for a range of prescription medications.
· Chief of Faculty is Jay Gupta, RPh, 340B ACE, MTM Specialist, C-IAYT. Jay is a Pharmacist, 340B Apexus Certified Expert, TEDx speaker and internationally certified yoga therapist. He is recognized by Cardinal Health, the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations and Next Generation Pharmacists/Pharmacy Times for excellence in integrative methods and reducing problematic polypharmacy.
· This seminar supports rehabilitative services, adaptive activities and older adult services across the USA, as well as health professionals and caregivers who wish to enhance health and well-being.
Best,
Terry
